Kathmandu – Gagan Kumar Thapa, the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has issued a warning from Bhaktapur on Saturday, participating in a regional conference. He mentioned that if Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ fails to perform well, there is a possibility of sending him from Baluwatar to Khumaltar.
While participating in the conference, he stated that the Congress has made Prachanda the Prime Minister, and even if they don’t want to, if Prachanda cannot perform well, there is a likelihood of sending him from Baluwatar to Khumaltar, according to Thapa. He emphasized that Congress has the intention to send Prachanda from Baluwatar to Khumaltar.
Similarly, Thapa spoke on internal party matters, indicating the end of the term of the committee formed for the appointment of National Assembly members. He urged party leaders and workers to support the proposal he will present at the central committee meeting. Despite the extensive discussion on the nomination of National Assembly members, Thapa mentioned that the final decision would come from the party president’s side.
He stated, “The party president has already put his name in the first place on the list of nominees. Discussions will take place, and if there is any objection from the president’s side, the name will be removed. This is just a formality. Thank you will be said after around 1,000 people, the president will say, ‘thank you.'”
Thapa also claimed that if not for the Congress, he would have been trapped in the civil war. He expressed sorrow over the incident that occurred in Balkumari on Friday.
